I am growing a vegetable garden this year! If all goes well, I am planning to eat from my garden and give away the excess vegetables. Hopefully I can become a more sustainable person by growing my own food. Gas will be saved by taking less frequent trips to the grocery store, too!

So far I have planted basil, tomato, zucchini, green onion, and corn. I will plant bell peppers and cucumber.

I am growing flowers. Along with all the roses in the yard of my new house, I have planted livingstone daisies, lupine, columbine, and cosmos. I will post pictures once everything grows.

I haven’t posted anything in a while…

Too much band stuff is going on! I can’t catch up on homework. Contest last week, PSYWE concert yesterday, AR concert today, contest tomorrow, band trip on Friday. I am going to go crazy pretty soon. On a higher note (haha, get it?), my solo in Shostakovich Finale and my other solo in Pageant went well at my concerts. Yay! The little things make life so much better.

Valentine's Day 2

I asked my friend to tolo. He said yes! The theme is decades and I want to wear 1920s clothing! He gave me a card that he made himself. It’s probably the best Valentine’s Day card I have ever received. :)

I turned in a half finished German test today. It is going to bring my grade way down. I have a group project due tomorrow that I get to do tonight by myself. My partner doesn’t seem to care. I HATE group projects!!!

This day seems like it will be fun and scary all at the same time. I have plans to ask someone to tolo. He will definitely say yes. I’m more worried about his plans for me. He hinted that he has Valentine’s Day plans. I hope he doesn’t do anything overly cutesy. I especially hope he doesn’t ask me out because I’d have to say no at this point.

I can’t wait to see what other kids are doing for Valentine’s Day! High school kids seem to be more elaborate in their plans than they need to be. At least at my school. My philosophy is that if someone doesn’t have a valentine, then they should not be a hater of the holiday. Use the day to show friends how much they are appreciated. <3

When I get stressed out I have strange dreams.

Stressor #1: Last night I found out that my neighbor’s dog had to be put to sleep. I’ve taken care of Wally for the past three years whenever my neighbors are out of town. I’ll miss him :(

Stressor #2: Being Busy. Yesterday I had school, music rehearsal, a concert, and homework.

Stressor #3: After the concert last night, my friend seemed to be ignoring me. He was walking away from me instead of running toward me like usual. He always comes over to me first. When I finally cornered him he wouldn’t tell me what was wrong. I think he is mad at me. My friend asked him and he denied being mad at me. Hmmm… I wonder if we will still watch Lord of the Rings this weekend like we were planning.

My dream last night consisted of my dogs not being allowed in some building. They were kept in a metal tub outside with a bowl of water. Somehow this connected to the rest of my dream where I was hanging out with my friend who is mad at me. I’m not sure how all of the little pieces of my dream flow together, but that’s how my subconcious rolls I guess. My dreams strangely relate to reality.

I wish tomorrow was a weekday because...
